W and y are the two letters which are considered as semi-vowel and at times they are considered as consonant. It has to be remembered that W and Y the two letters when they come at the beginning of the word they are considered as consonant.

 Example-

  • Wax
  • What 
  • Yes

But when the two letters W and Y come at the end of a word , they are considered as vowel.

Example

  • Cow
  • Boy
  • Way
